Different tastes, but I just felt the OR15 had too loose of a low end and had no definition. Not good enough for fast chuggy riffing like KsE and ESPECIALLY not for Sylosis.

This was my impression on the OR15. My friend bought one recently and it just didn't do modern metal tones very well, imo. And I was using my Ibby with an EMG85X in the bridge with my Green Rhino in front/ GE-7 in the loop through my Mesa 2x12 Recto. I really tried.

Fuzzy, buzzy, stoner/doom? Yea, it does that, though my same friend owns a Beta Lead 4x10 that does it better.

But, as mentioned, different tastes.

Very big thanks for the input,I will check around. Apparently my GC just got a or15 in stock as well as a local shop has a Dark terror.
Then if not I guess it's time to bite the bullet with a 5153

Id definitely check that out. With a bit of tweaking you can get a range of tones with it. Throw in a boost and you got modern metal.

I'll end up keeping the Rd too so I got the best of both.
Shame as it says they are back ordered till August 24th.

Woah! This legit made me smile lol. I knew of people improving the cleans with a compressor in front and chorus in the loop. But those U2-ish parts were just chef's kiss!
