Because the factory is used to this type of construction. Less chance of warranty issues from shipping damage. And I figured it made a nice little upgrade.

Huh, interested that a set neck is considered an upgrade over bolt? What are the advantages(i have a few of both, which i like, just curious to hear a pro luthier's thoughts)
