Hello everyone,

My peavey 5150 212 combo stopped working a few days ago.
The post contronls didn't work and the volume was really low. Plugging my guitar in the effects return didn't work either.
First I checked all of the tubes by replacing them and checked the effects loop with a jumper.
Then I saw that tube 3 and 4 weren't glowing.
All of the fuses are still good.
I found a few resistors which don't really look too good, see link below.

The damaged resistors are r110, r111, r116 and r117. They can be found on the schematics in the lower left corner, just right from the rectifier.
Can this be my problem?

Thanks!

Yes, that is your problem. The resistors in that circuit is for your +23v and -23v lines, which go to the heaters on one of the preamp tubes, as well as the reverb circuit, switching circuit, and a muting circuit. Replace all 4 resistors and you should be good to go. I would consider doing a preamp tube swap as one of them could have a shorted heater and killed those resistors.

Okay Thanks a lot, just removed the resistors and soldered in new ones, works like a charm again!
