POD ???s re: tube amps

I'm thinking of getting a POD (x3 live). How do they sound (any pod) through a tube amp? I have a Peavey VK 112.

take off the cab sim and it should sound ok.

you'd probably have better luck running it through the fx loop, i THINK the VK has an fx loop..

I just replaced my XT bean with an X3L, and it sounds killer through my VHT tube power amp in stereo.

Thanks for the tips. I figured this would be a good option to record with since I just record direct. I don't have any mics.
