Hello, we are a progressive metal group in Portland, OR named Divitius that was formed in May 2015. We are two guitarists, a bassist, and a drummer seeking to add a vocalist to our project. Our ages range from 25-27 and we would like to find a vocalist close to the same age range. We are in the process of writing and recording our first EP and we currently have 4 instrumental tracks recorded. Our plan is to finish a 5-track EP and play it live.
Our influences range from many groups that fit into the genres of djent/metalcore/deathcore/tech death/progressive/ambient/melodic metal. Some of our influences include but are not limited to: After the Burial/Periphery/Born of Osiris/Auras/Underoath/Meshuggah/Elitist/Reflections/Misery Signals/Decapitated/All Shall Perish/The Contortionist/Erra/Humanities Last Breath and many more.
We rent a rehearsal space at Bongo Fury in Beaverton, and we all have pro gear. We play 8-string guitars and a 5-string bass for everything we have written so far. If you are interested, we can send you our demo tracks that we have recorded so far, to give you an idea for our sound. Ideally, we would like to have a dynamic vocalist that is open minded to everything from heavy screams to melodic clean singing. Even if you don't do cleans, we would still like to hear from you to see if you would be a good fit.
