Presence pot???

cant find the correct value for a mesa 2:90 and I was thinking. what would happend of i use a different value? how would it change the sound/presence knob behaivior? would it be a good thing or a bad thing to try?

Without seeing the schematic, what it most likely will do, is change the center frequency, at which the knob operates.
Depending on the layout of the module, it might affect other things as well (the reaction of following modules due to different module impedance, ect...).

If this schematic is right, you'd need a 250k linear pot
