Reaper question

So I'm working on a recording a podcast and using some of my gear nerd stuff to do so.
Running SM57 > M-Audio M-Track > MacBook Pro > Reaper
Problem I'm having is a clicking sound either in the interface or Reaper while I'm talking. Kind of goes with syllables, but it's a technical glitchy kind of sound, not a mouth sound.
Doesn't appear to be clipping and does it with the gain on just about any point.

Latency or buffer. When I have to figure it out again next time I’ll let you know for sure.
