Hi all,
I've been inspired by two ideas: one is the split output hybrid guitar, where the bottom strings get a "bass amp" treatment and the top strings get a "guitar amp" treatment, such as https://hybrid-guitars.com/universal8
I've not seen a huge amount of really inspiring music played on these, but what seems to work is a bit of a jazzy fingerstyle approach.
The thing that inspired me was this thing:

Where he's playing this ridiculous little guitar (solidbody nylon string headless 6):

So...
I'm wondering if it's possible to create a dual-output 8 string solidbody nylon string. I'm presuming the pickups would be undersaddle... but would there be too much cross-talk for a satisfactory dual-output system?
===
I have an acoustic fanned fret guitar I'm willing to take a circular saw to for exactly this purpose...

It’s fine. Crosstalk is minimal if you split the saddle. When Yamaha and Ovation did the 1/3/5 & 2/4/6 splits on their piezos they just used some silicone dampening between each individual saddle and it was pretty good. But if the saddle is a different piece it’ll be fine.

you could also look into the submarine pickups. They essentially let you run outputs/effects for specific strings separate from your main output, with no modification needed.

If you don't mind it looking more modern, you could use a Graphtech Ghost system which has individial piezo saddles. You could wire it however you want, meaning you could have an individual output for each pickup if you felt inclined. Just make a custom baseplate and you're good to go :)
