Well yes...but I really like the vintage look of Sully's stuff. I wish he would bring back the Elita at the same time I get money.

I love all explorer-style shapes, from the 50s to the future.

How do you like richlite?

It's okay so far; I'm not a fan of dyeing ebony, so it might be a nice option for those who want truly black fretboards.

I'm 100% up for making 7 string Ravens, but if I do, I have a feeling that I'd have to make them 24 fret, which would be a pain in the ass with this model and require more design tweaking. I don't see myself doing 8s, but I think that if the right customer wanted to have one done, it might maybe happen.

This one should go home today; I'm waiting on a replacement Pigtail wraparound.

'71 Trella for Stevie D (Buckcherry/Josh Todd and the Conflict)
Mahogany body/maple cap, mahogany neck/ebony board
Stainless steel frets, 12-16 compound radius
Paint/relic work by Billy at Rock N Roll Relics.

Relish the relic! That checking gets the ideas flowing. When the time is right and stars align, I'll be in touch again.
But, realistically, probably a good bit otherwise until then too.

Some odds and ends:

624/7 (24/7?) Lefty strung righty, spanish cedar/wenge neck, 16-20" compound radius birdseye maple fretboard, pickups made specifically for the guitar by Willy Houston at Rocket Pickups, Mahogany body, controls similar to Keith Merrow sig, Hipshot tuners/bridge. Kinda fun to make a lefty I can actually play!

Stardust - There are some future developments involving this model; some of which may be obvious if you follow me on facebook or instagram, but I've got something else planned for this as well that I'll share at NAMM. This one has an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, tortoiseshell binding all around.

'71 Trella - This was part of the batch I built with Grover Jackson, but is different from the others in that it's got a rosewood fretboard and a painted silver logo instead of the normal chrome ones. The top isn't spectacular; we made some extras for dealer stock replacement that were intended to have solid colors. The owner of this one really wanted a blue fade, so here it is. Also noted that you can see the little risers I use for photos. D'oh!

'71 Trella - another part of the batch with Grover; was also one of the "plain top" extras, but still works with a burst.

'71 Trella custom - built like the prototype (slash inlays, no tone knob) Mahogany body/maple top, mahogany neck, richlite fretboard. Something about glossy black that just rules.

'71 Trella - the test guitar from the batch with Grover. This one is mine and was made with whatever we had ready to use. It's got an alder body with a maple top, mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard and nickel jumbo frets. One of my favorites from the batch of guitars we made had a silverburst finish; it's a flamethrower and quite frankly, I really wish I held on to that one, but that's okay. I wanted to do something different with the headstock, and I figured that the test guitar would be a great candidate for it. There are some more silverbursts in the channel (Stardust and Raven), and I'm really happy with how they're coming along

Available Raven:

Mahogany body and neck (speed neck profile - .790 at the 1st), ebony fretboard, routed for two hums and a recessed floyd. We collaborate on the paint and hardware color. This needs final sanding and can be off to paint quickly. Retails at $3150, get in touch for pricing.

A few more:

This bolt on Raven was built for Helper Monkey Matt as a gift from Mrs. Helper Monkey Matt. He had no idea it was for him during the process.

Raven built for this guy who played bass in Motley Crue. :) This was a fun one, to put in mildly. And while I know the whole "relic" thing is polarizing, I like it. It's nice not to worry about dropping a screwdriver.

A new style of Raven that gets rid of the raised elevation yet adds a forearm bevel. This one has a swamp ash body and a maple neck. Not 100% sure how I feel about not having the raised elevation; whaddya think?

As always, there's a lot more, but I think that's enough for now. :)

I think the Raven shape looks better with the raised middle. Also dig the purple flake 624T.

the secret has been revealed!!!!! !!!!!

looks cool, bit "flat", more like you now can tell how big the body is without the raised bit tricking you into a slimmer profile. Make it narrower in the middle, add a pickguard and make a Sully RD!!! :D
