If anything, this video shows how to produce a distortion pedal to make it sound huge.

The IR player and the stereo doubling are more important than the pedal.

The pedal itself sounds chopped to me, tbd if it still sounds good when you turn up the treble.

Eh... You could say the same about even the most expensive amps. Sounds like shit if you don't run it through a good cab/IR.
