I'm loving this track. Conor McGouran and Ben Wanders were members of Xerath so its great to see them releasing music again after 2014's "III". The blend of guitar and synth layers throughout is absolute perfection, neither battling for space but complimenting each other instead. The song keeps a consistent atmosphere and tone for most of the song which is an area most prog falls utterly flat for me when it ends up sounding like a ton of ideas stuck together without a coherent theme in mind. Metal of this quality from Ireland is almost unheard of so maybe I'm being a little more biased.

This stuff is incredible. Conor is my favorite guitarist. Xerath III is one of the best modern metal albums ever made IMO. He's like the perfect blend of Dimebag, Dino, and Per Nilson. Just an insane level of musicianship all around. The dude just writes insane consistent riffs. I can't wait for the rest of the album. I can gush forever about this guy.
