Every time I look at the Les Paul thread, I always get tempted to post a Strat thread as well. I love Les Pauls, but I also love Strats.

I'd post a picture of my Strats together but I don't have any pictures of them together unfortunately.

Let's see how big this thread grows.

Black one has a Hot Rails, blue one has a Fast Track 2. Leaning more towards the Fast Track 2 for it's slightly reduced output and snappier highs. Sounds great both clean and distorted, while the Hot Rails sounds pretty awful clean.
Thinking about getting either the trans black FMT or olympic white Affinity to round out the group.

Love this one.

The neck is twisted pretty badly, but it's just so loud and resonant, I have justified going for a Warmoth Baritone neck. My friend is also getting one for his Affinity strat. We figure, when we want to upgrade, we will just get nicer bodies to build around the neck. This is what im thinking. Subtle difference, but still keeps the "rockin" vibe of the stock guitar.

Love my Player Strat. Hated it till I put humbuckers in, and was actually contemplating selling it. Honestly though I'm falling a bit out of love with the Evolutions in this. The guitar has a spongy sounding attack that the pickups don't really dial out, especially with 10s in Eb. Noticed it when I went back to playing my 2550 with DiMarzio/IBZ pickups and when I put a Steve's Special in my 550, they just seemed so much less woofy, though that could be the guitars being completely different:

Thinking I'll leave the Evolution in the neck, but might replace the bridge with a D-Activator since I like the Titan I put my my Squier. Thing sounds beastly:

Ya think we need a tele thread too?

I'm here, not as a fan of strats, but trying to understand the appeal. I just don't 'get' strats. Teles, lps, or even superstars, I can understand....but strats don't make sense much, and I wonder why

FWIW I was never a fan of the bridge Evo. I always heard it was tight and cutting but I thought it was the opposite. Spongy, smooth, not a fan at all. I thought the Steve's Special was definitely tighter.

Strats are the bestest. Getting back into 6-strings. Feel like I should get a Player Floyd Strat. Specs seem right except I wish it had taller frets.

Here's mine

4X7ajxz.jpg

a 97 Squier Affinity and a MIJ 68 Reissue. Both of which I've had for over 20 years.

I briefly owned an American Standard Strat last year. Looked great and felt great but it needed a complete refret so I returned it after a week. Would've loved to have kept it.

Then there's my Warmoth 'strat'. Ash body, maple top, hardtail, huge roasted maple neck with an ebony board but with a pointy headstock. Amazing guitar.

Not a Fender but...
This is my Harley Benton st-62, super cheap (149€) but really impressive.
She looks amazing and sounds very good!

Thought I'd get around to posting my Strats finally.

Bought myself this Deluxe Roadhouse Strat about a year and a half ago as a birthday present and for an MiM Strat, it's absolutely worth it. Plays, feels, and sounds great. The V6 rotary and S-1 switches are also added bonus for extra versatility. Since I got it, I've thrown on a Gotoh 510 and a bone nut, and it plays better than ever.

The other Strat I've got is my uncle's old 1984 MIJ '62 reissue in Lake Placid Blue. I don't use it that much since as far as Strat specs go, I swear by 22 frets, not 21. Plus, the less 60-cycle hum I have the better. I don't have any pictures of it, but this is basically what it looks like:

May i ask if you ran into any issues while installing the 510?
I thought of doing the same to one of my strats but couldn't find out if it is a drop in, as some say you need to route a bit inside the trem cavity and i don't think i want to do that.

It’s a drop in. The only issue I ran into was that I ordered a brass block to go along with it from FU-Tone, and the block wasn’t as long as the stock block that came with the 510. It’s about a 10mm difference between the two blocks.

Suhr Classic S in Sonic Blue, I bought as a gift for myself last year. Incredible guitar. After that I was so interested in the neck profile of the Classic Pro that I bought a used one in shoreline gold but didn't like it (it was a bit chunky for my small hands) and sold it again.
