Plays 6-Strings
I am having a dillema as to which guitar to get. I play death metal, prog, thrash, jazz, classic rock, blues, reggae, ska punk, and punk. I mostly focus on the metal aspect and thats what i'm picky with. the others i just dabble in. so, i love a super tight tone. tightness is the most important factor. i have a mesa mark iii. so, it's between an esp horizon nt-ii, an ibanez rga121, and an ernie ball jp6. i will probably replace the pups in the ibby or esp to BKP Painkillers. but the jp6 i' would keep stock (not neccesarily a good thing).
NT-II pros:
beauutiful, best looking.
neck thru, mahogany, maple top, fixed bridge (all of which are my preferences)
great hardware.
i hear it plays good
coil tap
Cons:
jb and 59 aren't what i'm looking for.
i'll have to buy new since it's too pretty to buy used for me.
not as fast (from what i hear) as the others
RGA121 Pros:
i hear it plays great
mahogany
fixed bridge
cheapest
cons:
not as pretty as the esp.
shitty stock pickups.
bolt-on neck
JP6 pros:
it plays amazing
it sounds great with my amp
good versitality with the coil taps and piezo
nice stop pups
cons:
not very pretty.
no maple top.
basswood
bolt-on
so which would be best? please tell me why you chose what you chose if you post in the poll. thanks guys
