Figured id start an EVH 2019 thread, not sure if there is already one going.

Just came across this on Facebook. It’s his shark guitar.

It’s 100% true, and we all do it. Any non-guitarist is going to have a hard time figuring out why a beat up frankenstrat costs $15,000. Or this thing, in any condition.

Nothing on the sales pitch saying Ed's lament on how the sound was also destroyed in the process of destroying the Destroyer either.

What’s funny is EVH admitted that when he hacked up his explorer for this it ruined the sound, now he’s making it an off the shelf model for people to buy. Think he’s lining his pockets now.

Hopefully he releases more amps as that’s been a very strong line for his brand.

I get why they made it, but still odd to reproduce a guitar that I’m pretty sure Eddie said he hated. I think he said cutting up the Destroyer ruined its tone (you don’t say!).

I don't think a limited series is going to line his pockets at this point. Better to score 10 dollars par 5150 amp sold than 1000 from a limited series. (Numbers are pulled out of my ass, EVH is likely among the artists getting the biggest %ages off signature gear) They're more for marketing and creating the buzz that will push kids to buy the 800$ EVH models.
