These look and sound absolutely killer, I'll post up a thread when I get it. How do you guys like the Apocalypse series? Went with the Hipshot even though the sustaniacs are pretty cool.

Very cool model. Noticed today there might be a blue version in the future, which is interesting

Wonder if they're trying to mimic the blue stained swamp ash neck through iron label Ibanez had a few years back. Idr the model name. I can't keep up with them lol.

Yeah man no doubt. Schecter is getting better by the year, I'm so happy they used stainless steel frets for these. I wasn't too happy when I had to grind the corrosion off the frets of my Hybrid aftwr having it for a few years.

Hey Zado, are all C's the same cut/shape or are there variations? I thought I'd read somewhere on here that the Apocolypse C's were different from other C's but I could be misremembering the model.

The Apo is based on SLS/hybrid C1 shape, which is slimmer than regular C1 shape you can see with hellraiser series for example. More Horizon-like.

You know that is quite deceiving of them. I like the necks of both the Hellraiser and the Hybrids but I checked the site and the Hellraiser And Apocalypse are both listed as a thin c, while the Hybrid is listed as an ultra thin c. Yet the Hellraiser has a 20"-22" compound radius while the Apocalypse and Hybrid are 12"-16". So it really should be listed as an ultra thin c. Had me fooled. Was kind of happy when I though they went with the thicker neck! Oh well.

Schecter's necks have varied quite a lot during the years, with the Hellraiser series having the thickest (Hollywood classic series excluded, that was a damn awesome baseball bat). Nowadays things have standardized , so I wouldn't be surprised if they all had quite similar neck shape honestly.

These guitars are Kool.

Now I wish I could just get clear bobbins for a custom build...

The Schecter USA handwound Apocalypse V-IIs? I think they're pretty killer actually.
Ah,my bad
Actually I mean I don't like the sound.
They are good pickups but it's just between the normal pickup and a modern high output metal pickup sound, neither the best of those two types IMO.

I can partially agree there. I have pickups I prefer over those that just go all the way into metal territory but still retain clarity.

I have the SLS Elite. Same guitar, different finish.

You're going to love the neck on this thing. It's nice and flat. I have the black fade. I almost got the red reign, but I'm holding out for the blue!
