I'd love for there to be more hardtail RGXLs without boring single colors or a Jesse Cash Sig but I know thats not gonna happen this year.

I really want an HSS Premium AZ. I don't need to spend 3k CAD for a strat right now (AZ2204 Prestige), and I really liked the AZ224F that they discontinued. They're pretty hard to find used unfortunately.

AZ Essentials with Maple board and cool colors. The last ones were boring.

So if they're not making any new Japanese models this year does that mean I can sell mine on reverb for $2500 to take advantage of the shortage?

They're not making new models, as in new SKUs, but the whole point is that they can now make more of the current Fujigen stuff to fill demand.

So they can't meet demand which means there is high demand for Japanese Ibanez which means it's time for outrageous used prices right?

There's been high demand for awhile, but the idea is they'll now be able to meet the demand, and once stuff starts sitting again there will be cause for new products.

Depending on who you ask there has been outrageous used prices for years.

Lol but Japan just means "Prestige" in Ibanez speak tho. You can't deny we love those better than what their other factories put out. It's not that we love Japan and hate everyone else, just that no Japan means no Prestige. Preaching to the choir though.

They're getting scammed. My luthier with a well known shop only charges $50 extra. I paid $250 to get my les paul refretted.

Eh, work like this is like gas prices, just because it's a $2.25/gal somewhere doesn't mean everyone is paying that much.

I'd say you're definitely paying on the low side nationally, more so internationally.

Stainless refrets are definitely getting more common, and thus cheaper, but it really depends on what your options are locally.
