As title says - I'm in need of modern sounding (ENGL-ish like), but vintage/old school looking amp.
Will consider both head + cabinet or combo, max 50W.
Any advice much appreciated :flowers:

Probably easier to ask about custom faceplates for amps you like the tone of than which amp looks like a Model A but corners like a Lotus.

Here is an absolutely relevant submission. You may not like it, but that is how peak vintage amps are built.

Silly question: Do you have an Engl or something similar you could have a new head case made for?
That's an idea. My brother deals with wood and makes all sort of furniture, will ask him tomorrow about my case :)

Peavey classic series could be what you're looking for...

Not sure anything like that exists that also would not be boutique or custom in some way.

Yeah if you want fender Tweed you may wanna get a custom headshell made.

Or find an old Mesa Mark 3... If you can at a decent price lol

The requirements here don't make a lot of sense to me. Why max 50w?

You could use a digital solution, or a second amp backstage and have a dummy amp where people can see it.
