I just had a stroke
I tune to a low B0, I don't think you can get much lower than that. Some people have an A0... But going 3 half-steps lower than that would probably be impossible to distinguish the note because it would be below the human range of hearing. I've never tried a high A, on a 30" scale every kind of string would snap.
