I haven't checked in for some months, and only saw your kind message now.
I wrote the Wikipedia articles on Ralph Patt and Major thirds tuning (and on guitar tunings and guitar chords). Wikipedia lists a new chord pamphlet by Keith Bromley.
M3 tuning has been discussed at the Belgium jazz guitar forum, btw.

not so much fingerstyle; just using a thumbpick. But I play it exactly like a normal pick would. I dont use the broderick pick much, I prefer my dunlop thumbpick, but I have another $50 worth of various thumbpicks coming my way next week (about 10 different kinds, Fred Kelly's, ProPik, etc) So just gotta find the one that works for you
Hrm . . . for some reason my User CP didn't pick up that conversation. I kinda depend on its subscription routines to keep track of threads for me, or else I'd forget. And so it goes with this one. So, I haven't even read your reply. No big deal.
You! You're the one! I saw your thread on the pendulum saddles and on a whim, sitting in my parked car, ordered them and then, the next thing I know, I'm building this wacky fanned fret frankenguitar! I hold you personally responsible, sir, for all the mayhem that has ensued- the sanding, the measuring, the sawing and yes, even the rampant scrambling for fretwire! I hope this weighs heavily upon your soul, knowing that you have condemned me to weeks of fun, learning and sharing.
hee hee. thanks man!
