Being in a cover band for 10 years I've definitely played my share of "upstairs" gigs or just ridiculous load ins in general. One club had the stage on the 2nd floor but we had to load in outside up a very narrow fire escape stair setup and we usually played there in the winter. I remember one...
Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar: PRS SE Pauls Guitar in Faded Blue Burst. It comes with the standard PRS SE gigbag or you can choose one of the hard cases listed for an additional fee. Looking to mainly sell but if you have something of equal value that's cool, let me know. The hard...
Thanks for all the compliments about the guitar! Been playing it a lot lately and loving it. Sounds killer and is so versatile with all the switching options. Can't wait to record some stuff with it and take it to a few gigs coming up.
Well since you asked. Stuff like you described is usually not going to be attainable until you reach 20+ years. Also it just so happens that a coworker had his 25 year guitar completed recently and he chose a 7 string Custom 24 fanned fret with some wild wood options and finish.
I am the supervisor for the SE line department.
It's definitely cool getting to check out the stuff from time to time. I'm never jaded at the stuff I see. After 15+ years I still get blown away and appreciate what the team here can create.
I sold my 2 year guitar actually. It was as Custom 24 Quilt 10 top in black gold wrap with a solid East Indian Rosewood neck. I didn't gel with the neck like I thought I would unfortunately and I waited until I received my 7 year guitar and decided to sell the 2 year. I kinda wish I didn't just...
Thanks for all the compliments on the guitar guys! Only got a chance to play a few notes on it when I got home since I had stuff to do with the wifey. Looking forward to getting some time with it later this week but I know it's going to sound fantastic.
@Moongrum yeah not sure why they made it...
Some of you may have heard about PRS Employee Guitars. These are guitars that an employee gets to have built after certain "time of service" anniversaries to commemorate the occasion. Currently it is for 2, 7, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years of employment. Well the time came for my 15 year...
I don't know about "never before seen" but there's plenty of stories or info that's probably never been talked about before. Like for certain guitars they will say what mod's were done and at what point in time. And there are stories of how James acquired certain guitars or what his inspiration...
I pre-orderd it and received it in the middle of November. I absolutely love it. Really cool stories of some of his guitars and some cool photos of them being used throughout the years. Some interesting notes by his techs and some collector friends of his in there too. If I recall he has 5...
You'll need a "split snake" to split your signal so the front of house can get all your instruments/vocal signals independently from your bands signals. That way the sound guy can mix the mains without interfering with your IEM mix.
I just wasn't playing it that much. It was cool but the honeymoon phase for me wore off rather quick and the 1956 Junior popped up for sale so I sold the Custom to help fund the Junior purchase.
My original 1956 Les Paul Junior
My PRS SE One Korina
A Gibson Custom Shop LPC I had for a little bit but eventually sold it. I think it was a special dealer run for Music Zoo.
My Ibanez M80M
Always liked this photo since it shows how crazy different these guitars are from each other.
That album is the best selling debut album of the 21st century according to a lot of sources and may go on to become the best selling debut album of all time possibly. It has sold 30 million worldwide. To say they only became "legendary" because of Chesters death is pretty insane. Their last...
