    Width wasn't a problem for me. But changing the reference of the top string to 7 from 6 mode was hard for my brain. I was playing a lot of chords and notes a string lower than I should have been for a while.

    I use both a flat topped Ibanez and a carved top ESP. To be honest the difference between he two body types is negligible. A high quality build with either should be fine.

    Anything that would take the top end of frequencies off your guitar signal. An EQ pedal can do this for you, but it would sound as good as the neck pickup because you wont be able to add in the extra frequencies that the bridge pickup lacks.

    You can't go wrong with the 6505 in my opinion. Also there are loads of good quality ones floating around for second hand resale!

    I would choose the PRS over the LTD. The new SE models have had fantastic reviews.
