The UV has slightly smaller frets, and the neck is a bit thinner I think. My Uni has one of the thinnest necks ive ever played next to the Dean Rusty Cooley model.
The 2 guitars are supposed to be essentially the same though. The 7620 is definitely cheaper so if you can find one it is a good...
I would try to track down a 90s Ibanez 7620 or a Universe, very affordable and awesome quality generally.
If you want a new guitar, the Prestige line up is looking pretty good and are reasonably priced. I would go woth something a bit cheaper for my first 7 though if i were you. My first and...
That thing is sooo rad dude. Good call with the mahogany body/Ash top, looks smexy, and i'm sure it sounds amazing. The flamed neck looks amazing too. I am very jealous
That is a tough chord shape. Take your time with it, your hand needs to adjust to it. Lessons with a good teacher would be helpful too. Classical teachers are usually very good with technique
do you play for extended periods of time? Do you take time off the guitar, and go right back to practicing for long periods? Have you gotten advice from a teacher on proper technique?
Bar chords are generally a bit tough on the hands, and you have to try to use the weight of your arm to hold...
interesting. I have an aftermath set in my Ibby Green Dot, and i was thinking about getting a bridge pickup that sounds a bit thicker. Like an illuminator or Ionizer.
i really don't feel like dishing out the money for another BKP lol.
I currently use a PC with Reaper for recording at the moment, but i have been thinking about getting a macbook for mobile use.
So I am considering buying cubase, since it is multi platform. But will i be able to use it on both platforms with one purchase? I havent found anything on the...
I have been fighting with this for a few years now. I have seen many doctors and physiotherapists, and finally i have found out that my left shoulder sits a lot lower than my right, due to a number of things, possibly playing guitar with bad posture for a long time is one of them. I also...
I've had a 91 uvbk for just over a year now, and the smaller frets have always felt strange to me, being used to jumbos. I have thought about getting it refretted, but it is quite expensive and i dont know a very reputable tech that could do it for me.
So i've been contemplating...
Ibanez necks are definately a bit wider, and have more space between the strings. Not as much as a classical guitar but its definately noticable. I used to play an esp horizon and its taken quite a while to get used to my Ibanez 7 neck. I also have quite big hands so i cant relate to you much...
E-II guitars are japanese made ESP's. They are pretty high quality, so if you liked the feel of the nt you will probably like the Fr version aswel. The floyd rose adds a bit of tension in the strings compared to a fixed bridge so you may want to consider that.
It will probably feel quite...
