Looking for advice on an EQ pedal.

Damn. That's what happens when I don't look at the price LOL! -m

Looking for advice on an EQ pedal.

Have you seen this yet? I haven't tried one, or even seen one in person but there's been some buzz about it and I like the concept: https://www.freethetone.com/en/products/detail18/ Programmable, MIDI capable, looks alright to me...would pair nicely with something like a Dirt Clod. -m

What string Gauge do you use?

    Currently using the GHS Boomers TNT set plus a 60 and 80, so that would be: .010 - e .013 - b .017 - g .030 - D .044 - A .052 - E .060 - B .080 - F# My DC800 is 27", my Damien Elite 8 is 26.5" - there's not a hugely noticeable difference in tension between the two. I like the heavy gauges...

First Gear Buy: Amp or Modeller?

This. Playing originals where I want a consistent tone throughout the set, it's not an issue. Playing covers, it really sucks fiddling with pedal and amp settings between songs, having to tap dance and never venture too far from your board. When I built my rig around a Ground Control Pro and...

NGD: My Own Plexi/Acrylic DIY Project (pic heavy)

You've learned a few things along the way. Jigs and templates make like easier, and while you can cut corners with certain tools, you can't cut corners with all tools. The end result, though, came out really cool! Be proud of it, and when you start another build, take stock of all the lessons...

First Gear Buy: Amp or Modeller?

For versatility in an amp, there are a few out there that have some pretty cool tricks. I lusted after a JVM410 for a minute, 4 channels with three modes each, a series loop AND a parallel loop and two master volumes and all of it MIDI accessible...I mean damn... -m

Raw guitar tracks from "Wicked Sensation" (strong recommendation )

There's a place for perfection, but sometimes you really can get away with just rocking. I've always loved that whole album, it has some real deep grooves happening. -m

First Gear Buy: Amp or Modeller?

I've played a lot of gear over a lot of years, and a lot of it paled in comparison to my 6505+ rig. I spent a lot of time and money creating a rig that sounded like what I wanted, and it made me very happy....BUT. But....versatile it is not - it's a real one trick pony. But...it's bulky and...

    Disappointed by my Axe-Fx

I've struggled a bit with flubbiness and fizziness also, it took some patience to resolve. I found that blending cabs and tweaking the hi- and low-cut on them made a huge difference, and with multiple cabs, yes that meant some hunting and trying different combinations, and really changing the...

Amp w/fendery cleans & very articulate highgain?

I haven't tried it, but there's also FracPad III for tablets. I might look into that eventually, I'd rather stuff a $100 tablet in my gig bag than drag around a laptop, and the touch interface might be kind of slick. Apparently with a Yamaha MD-BT01, you can even use it wirelessly. -m

Amp w/fendery cleans & very articulate highgain?

Editing in the app is a breeze. I took the time before my Axe arrived to watch some videos and begin to familiarize myself with it; I've still barely scratched the surface of the manual, and probably not even close to getting the most out of this thing but I'm loving it. I haven't seen the FM3...

Is this ok to vent or post here? Anyone else have weight woes?

Procedures such as cryolipolysis, ultrasonic cavitation, and laser aren't considered surgical procedures like bariatric surgery, lipo, etc; what they do is cause damage to fat cells, the contents of which are then eliminated through the lymphatic system. RF skin tightening uses stimulates growth...

Is this ok to vent or post here? Anyone else have weight woes?

Hey, bro, I can give you about as much information as you can handle - I've had a variety of sessions myself, as has my wife, and now we own our own business providing these services. We do cryolipolysis, ultrasonic cavitation, laser, and radio frequency skin tightening. It's pretty neat stuff...

Amp w/fendery cleans & very articulate highgain?

I was really afraid of option paralysis when I started seriously thinking about Fractal. Now that I have my Axe Fx 3, I've spent surprisingly little time tweaking. The worst part might be digging through the cabs, just because there are so many. I haven't even tried running through my amp's...
