ENGL e570 preamp, TC G-System - MIDI HELP!!

Thank you, I saw this in the e570 manual which tells me if i connect the G system to the head via midi, and i select a preset to edit on the G system I should then be editing that same preset number on the preamp right?? Am i understanding that correctly? If that's the case then the process is...

ENGL e570 preamp, TC G-System - MIDI HELP!!

Yes, i read that too and i fully understand what the e570 can and can't do as far as midi programming. But my question is how to save/store presets AND link them to presets on the g system. I know it can be done. The knob settings are not able to be saved to presets, but the selector buttons...

ENGL e570 preamp, TC G-System - MIDI HELP!!

I am wondering how i would go about programming presets in the G-System to recall presets in the e570 preamp. Both are midi capable, and the e570 can store 128 midi presets. Problem is, there is no display on the e570 so i have no idea what preset number i am editing/saving. Am i to assume if...

    Xotic SP compressor....what's your settings?

Everyone I talked too about having excessive high end said it was due to the EMG's being so hot. Compression was suggested to even everything out. Since I added the compressor it sounds alot better already. Only other pedal I use is a decimator pedal. Guitar into comp into decimator into...

    Xotic SP compressor....what's your settings?

Just looking for feedback on how other users set their SP comp. I use active EMG pickups and I will be leaving this pedal on all the time as an overall tone improvement. My intent with buying this pedal in the first place was to smooth out my sound and even out all highs lows and mids. I play...

    Studio 7 2x12 ordered

just thought i would give my review of the studio 7 2x12 cab. i purchased the S7212 for $200 off ebay. cab is well broken in now, have been playing through it for about 3 months (band practices twice per week for about 4 hours + personal practice time). i have zero complaints about the sound...

    Randall V2 head

Brief & Accurate Description of gear: Randall V2 head, near mint condition. only thing wrong is one of the side handles has a crack, but the handle is still solid and functional, u cannot see the crack from the front. also, i have no foot pedal for this amp. i just had it serviced by an...

    Gsp1101 vs g-major for effects

try using less gain on the preamp settings and use an overdrive pedal in front, that should eliminate that buzzing. i find if you go to high with the gain on the GSP pre-amps, u get a bit of fuzz with palm mutes and string mutes in general.

Note definition with EMGs or Other

well i had just finished installing the kerry king set (yes, i did it myself, soldered) which replaced all my volume & tone pots, input jack and all the wiring. i even added the boost switch which i had never done before. you can check out my album for a few pics of the process. a few weeks...

Note definition with EMGs or Other

who said anything about cutting any frequencies? not me.....my point is when you swap the position of the 81/85, the pickups then IMPROVE the tones which the pickup position naturally LACKS, rather than accentuating the tones that already sound good.

sorry bro....i'm not worried about spending $10 if it saves me the hassle of fiddling with wires and having a jerry rigged guitar with electrical tape holding things together. u have your style, i have mine. luckily, i have the funds to not have to nickle & dime my way through upgrading my...

Help me with some djent tones?

u had alot of fx and signal processing working against each other in that setup. check out mine, i can get any sound i need out of it. i think people become a bit too critical of their tone, start tweaking and adding equipment, next thing you know u fixed the original problem u had, but now...

Note definition with EMGs or Other

and yes, i just swapped the pickups, so i use the 81 in the neck which i think also sounds better. here is my theory on why these sound better in opposite positions: the neck position on the stings naturally has more low end, fuller sound, & soft highs. the bridge position on the strings...

Note definition with EMGs or Other

if you have 81/85's, you already have 1 9V clip....u then buy the "plug in" 18v harness (on ebay for $10) which has one clip on the end which clips onto your existing 9v plug in your guitar, then it has 2 clips wired together which connects to the 2 batteries. note: i have the kerry king...

Note definition with EMGs or Other

there is no soldering involved when installing the 18v mod, it's just a harness that clips onto the existing 9v harness. just plug and unplug, simple. and i think it definately helps clarity, low notes don't drown out the high notes, all strings have an even tone and are all clearly audible...

    Noise gating?

i've had to correct similar threads before, i will do it again: 1) Decimator G-string pedal = 1 tracking channel, 1 gated channel....NOT 2 GATES!!! 2) Decimator prorack g = 2 SEPERATE GATES w/ channel 1 tracking (the DON of all guitar noise gates) 3) ISP makes the best & most advanced...

    Noise gating?

u just figured this out?? C'MON MAN!!!!!

    Noise gating?

the "guitar" channel in the G-string is only tracking your guitar signal, not gating!!! the "decimator" channel is the only channel that gates, and it uses the "guitar" tracking to know what to gate and what not to.
