I have been recommending them from the moment I first heard them installed in my Ibanez MMM1, but the Dominion set is phenomenal for baritone applications. The emphasis on the mids coupled with the nice clear bass sound great. I have tuned that particular guitar, with those pickups, down to drop...
I can only speak to playability on mine, but these turned out incredible. They are looked stunning too. Good luck with the sale. If it wasn't backwards I would consider it haha.
Anyone who didn't already know that they recorded everything note by note was in denial. The news here is that he wasn't using it as just a production technique to capture the "brutal desolation of space and the intergalactic horrors of the great unknown." Turns out he's just a fake. Oh well.
I don't understand why everyone associated with Vik has to try to be so slippery all the time. Like Leonardo, who will passive-aggressively defend or promote Vik but then changes the subject anytime anyone wants to talk about it. Your "promotion" of the brand is doing the company a disservice at...
I am not even convinced this is a different song, but I couldn't make it all the way through to confirm. I will say this, at least we don't have to look at their mugs while they are faking their fake performances this time around.
12lbs at D1 is insanely light tension. If you don't want the sensation of rubber bands below your fingers I would aim for something closer to 17lbs on the lowest side. The set above is actually backwards IMO. Why would you want so much more tension on the treble side?
I was really excited for this album, and its even better than expected. I love the subtle reprisals they worked in throughout the album. It has a very cohesive and consistent atmosphere from start to finish without any of the songs running together. I wouldn't say the high points on this album...
Preamp before the crossovers in the sonic maximizer will really change the landscape of your tone for the better. The RBI is capable of some pretty nice dirty tones.
You don't see that many guitars with reverse horns... It's like a it wanted to be a singlecut, but couldn't commit haha.
Looks interesting though. I am not in love with the shape, but it will obviously look way different once it is made of wood. I am excited to see the final product.
I am pretty sure that Nolly cleared this up himself and said he played bass on only a few songs and that the majority was once again synth bass. It is on this very thread right before or after the album came out.
