Know that feel. Mine is very conservative so when I see all his other stuff I sorta regret not doing something similar, but I'm hoping I'll spend more time playing it than looking at it :shred:
I prefer simple, cleaner looking guitars anyways.
I changed mine out, first with a crunchlab/liquifire set, and now it has an aftermath set. The dimarzios need their base plate filed down a bit, mainly on the tabs where they meet the body of the plate, and the BKP's needed the actual tabs filed.
About 2 years til your build starts, I put a deposit down in sept 2012 and I'm currently discussing specs. Not sure how long it takes to actually get built...
When I was visiting LA in early 2013 I picked up a DC800 from the Carvin store. For the price they are awesome value for money, but less so over here. I've always said to my self that I'll buy another, so it's good to know there are people willing to help out. :yesway:
