It's very, very loud. Goes louder than my old Laney GH50L, and they are stupid loud.
I should add that it sounds great at low volumes too, I did a little 2pc cover gig there last night and it was lovely.
Sure thing.
Got it back-stock from thomann.de for about £200, it's 50W, preamp is solid state and the power amp is what DV Mark call "Mark proprietary technology" whatever that means.
Two channels, clean with 3 band eq and a very polite and smooth drive channel which is nice for Tom Quayle...
I own the P2, the B1 and one of the guys in my band uses the R2.
If you have a decent power amp and a good cab they are unbelievable.
I will say the P2 has been my favorite for lead playing, but the R2 has a certain greasiness that lends itself well to low tuned riffs.
I don't think you'll be...
Hey guys, haven't posted in ages but still enjoy reading all the good advice and info on the page :metal:
I got a gig with a touring band and we're flying to some festivals in the summer, and I was thinking about how to build a small rig for taking on the plane with me. Does anyone have a very...
^ The EBS is the bomb! I use the the Multicomp into a Darkglass B3K and it works really well. I like the optical feature on the EBS, I usually pop the strings aggressively and turn up the compression/ratio until the light blinks on the peaks. Nice subtle compression that won't mess with your...
Thanks for all the suggestions, cheers.
I should clarify and say that I'm after a 7-string guitar here, I already have a 6 I love.
I'm probably gonna get some hate for this, but I've never tried a basswood RG (or basswood bodied guitar for that matter) that I've really liked the tone of, so...
I've had it with my Schecter C7, just too clunky and even with a change of pickups just doesn't sing as a lead instrument.
Great rhythm tones though, in case anyone thinks I'm flaming.
So I'm after something brighter, snappier and less unwieldy.
I have about £1k to spend, what would you...
I swapped my 707tws in my Hellraiser for a set of 707x series.
They are much better, but still not a particularly "lead-friendly" pickup.
Rhythm tones are super tight and clear so if you're a riffer then you will love it.
I got a nice white set to match my guitar :)
I blew a power amp valve a fortnight ago and left my amp into the shop to get sorted. It was returned to me with a set of "Tube Doctor" el34s. The amp sounds really boxy and middley through my Mesa compact 2x12.
Is there something wrong with it? I'm a tube noob (bassist) so any help is much...
Hey guys, thought I'd share some experience I've had with the Line 6 HD500, AMT B1, Tech 21 U.S.Steel, British and VT Bass pedals.
I should start by saying that I mainly gig bass and was so impressed by the VT Bass that I sought out their guitar pedals.
I tried the pedals through a pair of...
I got one! After an out of town show I drove back at around 2am, and I was pretty tired. On the way home my car sort of got stuck in 2nd gear and accelerated wildly beyond my control. The clutch was jammed, so I checked my mirrors (all clear) turned the ignition off, stuck my hazards on, and was...
That's gorgeous, mate! Happy NGD :)
I hate to be that guy, but are there ANY finishing flaws? It looks perfect, but there's a Skervy on the Island here that reportedly had some minor finishing flaws.
