Hey everyone,
after a long hiatus (haven't been producing anything since spring 2017!) here's a new full cover of mine and since I've been mostly covering acoustic ballads before, this is specifically my first full rock-oriented mix (with distorted guitars, programmed drums and all)...
Damn. I have no idea how the single spare parts look since I got this used and never had an IC before. Do they sell that as a spare?
Or am I better off just getting a whole new beater at this point?
So the thing is, I apparently lost the bolt on the back of my Iron Cobra beater head which is supposed to adjust the beater head at an angle with respect to the beater itself, and fix it in place. Pic attached.
The result is the beater head keeps turning backwards on itself while playing...
Got it. How was your experience? Both with 8 strings in general and with the actual guitar. Cause I was eyeballing it, but just to try and get my feet wet as well. I'm not even a good 6 string guitarist so I don't know of any use I'd get out out an 8  but it's fascinating. So, asking just...
Single coils on high gain have a really peculiar sound which I like personally. Other than the obvious example of Yngwie, check out Devin on Terria (all stock strat) or Kevin Hufnagel with Dysrhythmia
I just think of screaming as a form of expression, like an extra color on your vocal palette. But the more I get older, the more it feels like the lazy musical alternative to singing since there's no creativity for melody involved. But more on that later.
Personally, there's really few...
Hey there, kind of an odd request.
I remember seeing Merrow's guitars tracking video for his death metal side project Demisery (w/ Gord Olson, circa 2011?). It was so satisfying to watch for the great riffs and tone.
Merrow deleted it from his channel a few years ago, I think after the end of...
Honestly, for an e-kit, budget =/= good.
Spend as much as you can, or you'll soon find yourself with stupid trigger assignments, non-sensitive head pads and such problems that will get you to fine tune everything you tracked by hand all over again just as you didn't even have an e-kit in the...
Just checking in for a questions to you users, since I've seen some comparisons in the very first pages.
Gimmicks aside, isn't the BW just a revoiced/different EQ'ed Distortion? That's what I always perceived since its launch.
Like a "grimier" Distortion, while the Nazgul is the "djentier"...
Well ofc that was a metaphor.
I mean to say they, to me, put a lot of arrangement filler and incohesive parts (like other-genre instrumental breaks of of nowhere, usually at a start-stop section) which don't actually serve the song nor add up to anything. Just feels pretentious to me since it...
Listened to almost their entire catalogue (yeah I take my time in formulating opinions lol), and I still can't get into them. I liked Coma for the "lighter", opera rock-ish ideas and Parallax II for the more aggressive side of things, but I can't pick out a single song or even riff I could say I...
Come on guys, it is legally registered stuff that has legal value and period. It's not that anything can act as copyright, not even if you want it bad enough. A copyight does act as a copyright and that's it, we don't live in magic land. Otherwise I'd be dead rich if my grandma accidentally...
Problem's on the way to being solved, I'm fiddling as I write this. The main culprit was the low master volume parameter. I'm gradually adding gain, front boosting and compression and it's getting better.
