    I always run my OD as a simple clean boost: Gain 0 Tone 5 Balance 10. I used to run an 85 in the bridge of my EC-1000 and found it pretty bass heavy. It was warmer and darker though, still felt like the 81 had a tighter bass response, and tight is the tone I'm going for.
