Tonocracy by atomic amps is now free... Amp sim+amp capture+fx/IR. You have to make an account, but it looks pretty cool. Will be downloading a bit later, worth a try
If you're gonna be wearing it on your back and not hauling it with other equipment, a GOOD softcase might be fine, but for any hardcore travel or potential roughness a hardcase is a must
i would imagine they could, but i dont have experience with them personally. i would personally intonate the 12 fret (also fine tune intonation with the 24th fret as well if you have one) and then check the nut height and intonation in frets 1-5. if the nut height is right and the rest of the...
absolutely do not need compensated nut. only requirement is that a standard nut be cut to the right height... intonation issues at the nut only when the action height at the nut is too high and/or heavy handed fretting. compensated nuts don't make any sense unless you have true temperament frets...
native is a million times better than tonex. i wouldn't bother but im sure you could find some use. tonex runs like shit tho, laggy and buggy as hell on my pc
another good reason why it's good these companies aren't releasing much new stuff this year, they need to catch up. I'm sure the pressure of demand isn't helping QC at all
I have an agile 8 string... 27" and I think it's a hell of a guitar regardless of how cheap it is. my only complaint is the intonation on the 8th string as well as sounding a bit weak, but I haven't put on a heavier string yet as I can compensate easily for the shortcomings. anything 25.5 to 27"...
I put a push in arm on one of my floyds and it feels sloppy/loosens up and the deltin sleeve cracked on me with not very much use. Just not solid at all. The magic arm does loosen up after a bit of use occasionally but it's way better than the old stock threaded collar. The push in arm is as bad...
I found the floyd branded push in arm to be pure garbage. Red bishop Magik arm and plastic bushing mighty might arms work way better in floyds. I also saw the 2020 or 2021 upgraded threaded collar design for floyds is much better, but i have not used one myself yet
That isn't knife edge wear in the photos. That is paint flake off. All floyds do that. Knife edge wear would be a divot or flat spot on the edge itself... A rare sight on any floyd, from original to special series
there is no standard answer here. some interfaces have a low tolerance for high output pickups and will clip with the gain set at 0 on the instrument input. some you can turn it up quite a bit before it will clip. some software wants the signal as close to clipping as possible (evident by the...
If they can't keep up it would make zero sense for them to introduce new models to sell... market has to cool off a bit for there to be any reason to make new shit. i think all guitar companies should chill out on new stuff until things slow down instead of churning out mediocre/shit tier...
Japan has the most consistent high quality for sure. that's not just guitars though, it's cars/guitars/electronic/everything else made there too. sure sure there's duds that come from there too of course, but their culture prides itself on quality... it's how they became a manufacturing force...
