    Yeah, we had a very ghetto mic setup on the drums so had to use the triggered samples and they just didn't come out authentic sounding enough. Thanks for the feedback.

    It all depends on your preference. Reaper is on par with any other DAW to be honest. My personal preference is Logic Pro 9. I don't think the DAW has anything to do with 'audio quality', that all depends on your signal chain and mixing/mastering capabilities.

    I play a Carvin DC800. It was a little hard getting used to playing my bands 6 string songs on it, but that period only lasted a week of two. If you play on Drop Db tuning or Drop C then you can tune your 7th string as Db or C so that if you accidentally hit the 7th string while playing it...
