Hey guys,
I need to restock the 5 pre-amp and 4 power tubes in my 6505.
I need something that'll make it sound smoother/clearer with the distortion not being as gritty. One of my friends showed me this site, eurotubes, in which they offer
a complete package of tubes for a 6505.

I can get your point of view as to why you find modern era death metal. Those old school albums have a lot of "feeling", something that many modern bands have. Example, you put on "Altars of Madness", "pierced from within", "consuming impulse","slowly we rot", theres that dirty raw tone that...

thats what i thought. the mark really interests me the only thing is with a vader cab im really wondering how it sounds. i have a vader cab currently with a 6505 but no local dealer carry the mark IV....
For playing death metal but with clarity and definition, which would you rather:
1) mesa amp (Mark IV/Rectifier) with a vader 4x12
OR
2) peavey 6505 with mesa 4x12
I am running the guitar directly into a 6505 with a vader 4x12. My settings are usually around the following:
gain - 4
bass - 6
middle - 6
treble - 2
resonance - 5
presence - 5
Hi guys, so I'm having issues with my custom guitar made by a local luthier in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I find that my tone is not clear and the guitar is muddy-ish. I was wondering if it's because of the guitar body, the pickup, or the pickup height (the pickup is really close to the strings)...
