So i had thsi idea of doing my 7620 in a green/black swirl, putting a new tree of life inlay...until i saw someone had already done it. :( Sooo instead i made the trek to Frabricland and picked up some floral print to FP my axe. The pic below is off my cell phone - i'm currently...

Anyone have experience?
Chris and I will be finishing a few guitar this summer and we're looking for recommendations for the clear coat.
I've done a little research and found "Nitrocellulose lacquer" has been used.
Any other suggestions..

I was able to borrow a digital camera from a friend yesterday & snap these off.
This is with the MetalCast Blue paint from Duplicolor.
I had to re-apply it, because I didn't apply enough clear coats before wetsanding to level, & sanding through the MetalCast, so I had to start about 1/2 way...
you might remember from my other thread the m-107 i scored. it was what i called gayby blue. awful.
it is now stripped, primed and the 1st coat of paint is on.
after a bit of deliberation, i decided against a swirl.they look better on an ibanez anyway. so what better paint job than a kamikaze...
and in about a million fucking pieces?

Time to get rid of that boring black finish. :yesway: I'm sure I'll update with more pics as I get closer to being finished. That'll be sometime this weekend. Of course, I'll have to wait a long ass time for the clear to set...
