Hey dudes,
I have an Orange Jim Root terror that I bought a couple of years ago. It's a fun little amp with that typical Orange tone. Great for dirty rock and for metal also, sure, but just don't expect a very tight and focused high gain tone. It's more fat and round. I love that tone myself...
[VIDEO REVIEW] Here's my review on the new amp sim from Brainworx, the RockerGain100. Which is clearly an emulation of the Orange Rockerverb 100 Watt amp. You can really get some nice dirty sounds out of it. I used the Ibanez RGIB6 tuned to Drop Bb, And there's a good selection of IR's included...
Slipknot tone test, using Esp Eclipse II, Axe-Fx II XL, Ownhammer impulses. Let me know what you think.

I have been following this organisation for a while.
"Since 2006 the O’Keefe Music Foundation has enabled children from around the world to record and film their musical performances for free."
some of you might scream "edits!" "cuts!" or "studiomagic!", but I really couldn't care less.
this...
They're actually balaguer's growler/espada models respectively.
I like the murdered out espada a lot, looks comfy and sleek as all hell, plus I have a soft spot for open pore ash bodies/tops.
So, just for the sake of music discussion. Any Slipknot fan here? Or hater? Or sceptic?
I personally handed Slipknot another chance after 10 years of hating on them and now it all clicked into place.
Here's my impressions on my blog. Have your go at it...
I've recently released a new song and here's the video of the recording:

Rode NT1-A condenser microphone
Ibanez RG470 Guitar with DiMarzio D-Sonic Pickups (Left)
Ibanez RG827QMZ Guitar with DiMarzio D-Activator pickups (Right)
Washburn XB-100 bass with DiMarzio Split-P pickups...
Afternoon all.
Basically, around this time last year, me and the chaps in my band Atlas Falls put together a little live session with a friend of ours for a project as part of his degree.
We did two of our originals from our debut EP (which you can find on the youtube channel) and were asked...
Title says it all.
Who from the SSO is gonna be there? Killer set list this year IMO.
I'm debating whether to go to this or the Slipknot/LoG show in concord.
The camping is $125 per vehicle per 6 people + the cost of each ticket. That's pretty steep if you're like me and have no...
Last night I went to see the Slipknot / Korn double-headline 'Prepare For Hell' show in Nottingham, UK. I had been waiting some months for this show and - after seeing Slipknot at Download in 2013 - was as eager as any fan to see them in a more 'intimate' (if you can call an arena that!)...
Fender Jim Root Telecaster Flat White
Pretty much brand new, apart from a 1mm ding at the front-upper egde of the headstock - near the G string tuner.
Received a full set-up and a pro bone nut recently.
Modifications: Bone Nut
Accessories: Hardcase, papers, hangtags and everything it comes...
I recently mixed a cover of the song People = Shit by Slipknot. I'd love some feedback! Also, feel free to post a mix of your own, i'd love to hear them
People = Shit | Through My Eyes

So yeah, pretty much what I expected. It's your typical, edgy Clown video thing. I was into that stuff when I was 16 or so, not too sure about it now. I did like the boobs though, those were solid.
But as I said in the other thread, the song is awesome in my opinion. Can't wait to hear more.
People = Shit | Through My Eyes
^^ This is a cover that my band, Through My Eyes, recorded a month or two back. Everything was self produced, and no stems were used. We started from scratch!
1) I imported the original song into my pro tools session. Since the band did not record to a...
Hey there :)
I'm working on a Mick Thomson (Slipknot) figure, and thought it'll be cool to make a work in progress thread.
Let's start with the head/mask. It is finished - just needs a couple touches here and there...
Thanks for checking it out :metal:
I've been trying out freeware amp sims and I'm actually really liking them better than the high gain amps on Pod Farm (which I was using for a year).
I've been using TSE x50 for recordings, but I was recommended trying out Lecto and I think it's pretty killer. I'm working on a song and I'm...
Okay I have no idea if even anyone here likes Slipknot but I want to know what the hell happened to them. Corey Taylor was interviewed on That Metal Show and he did not mention a single thing about Slipknot, he only talked about Stone Sour. Slipknot's still touring and everything, but they have...
