I would like to offer you this book:

I wish you all to read this book.

Jancovici is a vocal proponent of nuclear energy, and advocates for nuclear power to become a dominant energy source. He believes the climate urgency requires closing all coal power plants worldwide within 30 years. He argues that non-nuclear renewable energies will never be sufficient to transition to a carbon-neutral economy.

Alright, seems he's on the same page.

Incomplete.
People think they have a good grasp after just a few sentences.

Multi-billionaires and trillionaire corporations all with the power to really do something about climate change have done an excellent job at convincing large portions of the population that climate change is an individual responsibility, and we all need to really buckle down and stop living so that they can continue to consolidate wealth under their banners and live like the richest, most powerful kings and queens of all time.

Maybe if we could get those with the power to change something to actually stop pointing fingers and accept that this is a "all humans" problem that needs an "all humans" solution, some of us supposed bottom feeders of society would take them a bit more seriously. As long as it's, "STOP EATING MEAT!" scarfs caviar. "STOP HEATING YOUR HOMES IN WINTER!" Scarfs ribs and steaks. "STOP TRANSPORTING GOODS!" Flies off on private jet to meet private yacht to fly private helicopter to private island? It's just a shell game of blame. And some of us are kinda tired of that particular track being used to avoid even trying to do anything about the reality of the situation.

Politics won't do anything. People has to change.
People changing IS politics. That's what politics is.

I 100% believe that we already have the people, the resources, the technology, etc. to steer away from climate disasters - honestly, we have the resources to solve a lot of worldly issues - but what we lack is people in positions of power who are motivated enough to do it.

A single source is a non-sense.
Nuclear energy and renewables is totally a viable carbon neutral/low carbon solution. Nuclear reactors take a long time to build (for good reason) and we should have started building them in earnest decades ago. We're behind on that, but every day we're not building out that infrastructure is costing us.

Primitivist ideologies won't save us. You will never convince people to give up their laptops and phones and 100W amps and internet. People espousing that strategy are going to get us all killed faster. All it does is stall actual actions that can actual help solve the problem.

Now, along with that there are things we absolutely need to convince people to give up. But it's things like driving everywhere instead of taking public transportation. It's things like next day delivery. It's things like 21 servings of meat a week.
