Have the same thing on my guitar thanks to guitar center. I think you'll be fine. How much are you paying and for what guitar?

Shouldn't cause any further issues, it will just be annoying to look at.

I can't say for sure it won't, but I've had a higher end guitar with similar issues and it never got any worse over a few years of regular use.

Wait actually, upon zooming in, are those even cracks? Or are they lines from tape from a fretjob? They don't look to have any sort of impression or depression.

A good point. Most cracks seem to happen at the frets from the fret tangs pushing out the sides with fretboard shrink. Not sure I've ever seen a crack that wasn't at a fret.

Honestly my buddy used to wear a black thumb ring can't remember what it was made of, but it made some streaks like this which came off with a little polish.

Yeah but do you see how those basically line perfectly up with the tang of the fret and also look to be separating or separated? The OP's are black lines that dont appear to dip or dent anywhere and don't line up with frets, actually in my opinion, it looks like the lines left over from tape when you have to layer it in multiple spots to cover the entire negative fret space. I'd be willing to bet these would polish off with a bit of scrubbing.

Maybe you guys have a point, in fact it looks like thats exactly of the same width as the tape and exacty with the fret in the middle.
I don't want to believe that a shop is putting a guitar in sale like this and putting it as b stock because of that, loosing money instead of pollishing the binding.
I've asked the shop some more info about that issue, i'll post their answer.
The guitar is an Ibanez RG
