Creating a website avatar?

Does anybody know how to create this small avatar which you find next to the link of the website?

I cant find any information on google...

Yup. Thats the favicon. You must put that in the root directory of the website:

Like so:

http://www.mukerji.us/favicon.ico

and then put this in your HTML files in the header section: <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" />
