yeah radial with the jensen or uhhh anything that can handle a speaker thru, or countryman or whatever, i doubt i could hear a difference, but i'm deaf

Yeah, I've tried the newer ones as well and I admit they're better than the gen 2's, but.. I'm just spoilt with my Audient iD14 for home use I guess!!

3rd gen have a pad option. And you don't need to crank the gain to oblivion, it's a common misconception. You shouldn't aim for the peaks to be as close to 0db as possible, leave some room, aim for -6db, and RMS should be around -18 to -12.

Did you also set the input to instrument?



I have a hardware Helix which I use as DI and a 3rd gen Scarlett. The Scarlett is fine, you won't get any real benefit from a DI box.
Yep I set it. I think I’ve finally dialed it in. I just wasn’t 100% sure the gain dial shouldn’t be higher but from everything said, I think it’s dialed in.
