I've been wondering about what preamptubes I can put in my Fireball to make it sound better because the tubes I have now which is stock tubes just suck and to everyones amazement there's actually not much gain in the amp at all(not even with the gain knob at full).
So therefore I believe that a change in preamptubes would be in order.
The easiest way for me would to get them from Thomann
ECC83 rör - Svensk International Cyberstore but I don't know if any of those tubes are good.
As you can understand I would like tubes that can produce more gain and I've heard something about tung-sol's being great fo that? I've heard mixed opinions about whether or not JJ's are good, especially for higain.
What are your opinions on preamptubes? Which tubes would be great for my amp?
