MDF really is the worst, but once you get past the tedious template-making stage, it starts to get more fun.

She’s all finished! Here are some hastily taken pics. Please excuse the lack of contrast between the guitar and the wood floor

And here’s a shot with my first build.

The saplele guitar is obviously the heavier of the two, at 10.9 lb. As far as sound, the sapele guitar has a great midrange and high end, with a bit less bass than her all-mahogany sister. Definitely a joy to play through my cranked Boogie JPC2.
