every once in a while i take a break from 'all things br00talz' and dust off some old punk or ska favorites like dookie, tragic kingdom, does this look infected? etc

what are some of your favorite bands, songs or albums?

feel free to post up pics and vids...

Any of Green Day's first 5 albums from 39 smooth to Nimrod, then American Idiot. No Doubt's tragic kingdom is another for sure.
Drop Kick Murphy is a lot of fun as well as Bowling For Soup. Most recent punk group is probably The Bombpops.

Great list. LoC and Choking V were my idols in my early days. Ended up doing acid with a few of them. Really glad i gave that lifestyle up.

As much as I like stuff like Fugazi, Black Flag, The Minutemen, Bad Religion and Minor Threat I really haven't listened to much of them. I did a bit more in my youth with people I hung out with, but then got into heavier and proggy stuff.

One I always liked and had listened to somewhat recently was the Pink Lincolns' first album.

A lot of that late 80's/early 90's stuff is pretty difficult to get into because the quality is so poor and until a lot of it was uploaded to YouTube or one of the music subscription services, it was really hard to find.

Then you have the artists with a huge catalog, like Bad Religion, or tons of demos, or who changed their sound a lot.

That's true though I kind of expect it to a degree when listening to music of the era... It's not my go to for listening though it should be in the rotation!

The majority of albums by Die Ärzte or Tote Hosen.
You don’t know punk if you don’t know German punk bands.

Bad Religion and Misfits are also ok.

This is one of the few albums I purchased in my early teens that still gets regular spins. I replaced the CD many times. Lotta bangers on this one, lotta teenage heart feels.

Another one that has made it through the years from my teens. This album is wall to wall bangers, though some of the lyrical content has aged poorly.

Greek Day’s Nimrod is probably my favorite.

Good Charlotte’s Young and Hopeless was pivotal for me getting into guitar and heavier music. Good Charlotte was my gateway drug to all things metal 😂
