How can your glasses not fall with all that head banging?!
Great live presence, dude! Shame on your band mates for not doing the same.
The guitar turned out pretty cool!

if it were me, i´d just transpose everything down to f#

i like using the low notes as much as possible when i´m covering songs...

:D yeah, some songs work really well like that :hbang:
E.g., I usually like to play Leper Messiah on the B string (but in Alcohollica we play it 'normal' ... well, almost, because we tune down a half step in standard).

... of course, due to that half step down, I'd actually be transposing everything down to F hehehehe

Clive, have you had time to use it for your original work in a gig yet?

how does it fair? and does your bass player feel about it?!!!

Not at a gig yet ... but have done so in practises.
I'm loving this guitar more and more every day ... its the first guitar in a long time which makes me want to play it all the time, and when I haven't got it slung round me, I miss it LOL
So basically, I'm *REALLY* looking forward to playing it live with our own stuff ASAP ... we're currently also writing a bunch of new songs which are going to feature some low end chugging etc. We'll see how our bass player copes with it ... but I'm sure we'll come up with some earth-shattering solution hehehe

Cheers,
C

Very cool covers! Great job!

As for the guitar.....No surprise there. I think that Patrick makes some of the most badass guitars around! Congrats

Nice gig, really. I had actually watched this on youtube before I knew you had a thread going here.
I'm still in the "acclimatization-phase" to the new guitar but it's getting better every minute. Will probably post my first cover with my new 7-string next weekend if I manage to learn the song by then. But Per's solos are giving me a bit of a headache.

:shred:

Btw. the video posting thing works for me also with just posting the URL.

LOL - yeah, the cover stuff could indeed be played on cheaper equipment. But then again, so could everything else. Plus, seeing as I *HAVE* the equipment, I'm going to damn well use it - regardless of whether I'm plying Metallica covers, my own originals or Jazz stuff ;)

C
