Got myself a Framus Cobra!

btw, can anyone explain the differences between the years/revisions? I know some have external bias adjustment, but beyond that, no idea. I think when I was researching Dragons, the consensus seemed to be that people preferred the earlier ones for some reason.

Framus Cobra Versions?

I was just wondering, since there are a few versions/revisions of the Framus Cobra.....what are the differences? What did they change with the head along the way?

Cobra V2 vs V5?

if you check on the newly redesigned Framus website, they offer up some wire diagrams. http://www.framus.de/modules/infos/info.php?katID=11100&cl=EN I noticed there is a Cobra version 5. What is the difference between the V2 cobras and the newest V5 cobras? I'm guessing the V5s are the reason...

Here's inside of my Dragon. As you can clearly see both big boards are stamped Cobra V5. The smaller board by the channel switches has a part labelled Dragon. Not sure what that is. Can someone point out the optocouplers?

The optocouplers are the IC's on the main board

Hate to have to go by mainly one guy (and one supporter) on their opinions of V1 being less fizzy. I wonder if this could be a block letter situation where older amps shipped with older tubes and the tubes are really the culprit behind the fizz issues.
