Hello,

As my signature shows, I already have a 7-string. But now I'm looking for another one with a fixed bridge, so that I can easily switch between tunings (betwen Periphery, Symphony X and a number of Japanese metal bands, I'm a bit overwhelmed). So here are the features I would like:

- ebony fretboard
- very flat neck, not too wide, 24 frets
- neck-through
- budget: under 2000€

Among the things that may help:

- I tried a E-II Horizon NT-7B in a shop. Except for the pickups (but that can be changed) it ticked all the boxes.
- I tried a couple of Ibanez RG and found the neck too wide (sorry, don't remember the exact models).

The E-II may be a good choice, I'd simply like to consider other options before deciding.http://www.jerichomusic.fr/GUITAR-E...ique-7_cordes-esp-eiihorizonnt7bblks-3625.awp

If you like a bit of color:

I've generally found the necks on most ESP/LTDs to be pretty comparable (meaning if you enjoyed playing the Horizon, you will like these), and agree that Ibanez necks feel a little wide.

The E-II Horizon NT-7B is very nice, but these are all a bit more visually interesting to me, and they're all about half the price. :yesway:

Kiesel might be an option. I think the DC7x has a 20" radius and 27" scale length in neck-thru. I'd think it would be well within that budget no matter how you spec'd it out. Probably even get stainless frets.

You could get a DCM7 multiscale with that budget even factoring in shipping and taxes since OP is in France. I highly recommend the multiscale option, those feel really great to play.

To hit the 2000€ budget make sure you calculate any taxes and be conservative with the options. Unless it has changed or is different based on country, shipping is $116.

You could probably get SS frets and even a flamed/quilted maple top in that price range. I recommend avoiding ash body because the Kiesel Lithiums have a midscoop in the pickups so alder or mahogany body will sound better.

I don't think you will find a better choice in your price range unless you find something used.

I went on the carvin builder and with your 2000EUR budget minus taxes and shipping built a dc700 for about 1620 USD. Flame maple top, ebony board, ss frets and other bells and whistles. They also have a multiscale and an extended scale as well. I think this is a great option.

Thanks for your answers. :) Everything is noted, and I'll study those options after the holidays.

Have a good day.
