SOOOO pissed I'm getting back into the club. I missed out on a Mark IIc on GC used site by minutes. I called while the dude was in the process of buying it. ....ing $699.

Nooo! That sucks man.

If the guy had played it at the store and was happy with it than he got a heck of a deal. Otherwise, $699 is a pretty shady price. I know the Mark IIC+ is the crown jewel, but a Mark IIc is nothing to sneeze at either. Like I said, the shady price means it was either a heck of a deal or "not all is right" with the amp, and I've encountered more of the latter when dealing with Guitar Center.

Yea I know, but I was going to take my chances. Sending it to Mesa to have it upgraded to IIc+ and possibly fixed would run maybe $1000 at the most I would think. I believe the upgrade is $500. I could have still made $1000 if I decided to sell it later.... So bummed lol.

I used to own a F-50 widebody combo, this is the only pic I have. I replaced the black plastic knobs with some nice chrome speed knobs. Someone offered a trade without payment for a VHT Sig:X head. I loved this combo to death but it would've been stupid to refuse. I love that VHT just a little more :)

I replaced the Celestion V30 speaker with an Electro Voice EVM12L, which could only be front loaded because the power tubes got in the way. It also increased weight by 5 kg. Tone improved drastically, a real beast.

I can recommend this speaker swap to any owner of an open back Mesa, if it fits... V30 is on the left (duh).

Just blew the main power fuse this morning. Think I narrowed it down to the rectifier tube being the culprit. Anyone else had experience with that?

Here's my 3-channel Multi-watt triple rectifier going into a 4x12 Mesa Cab. Have had it only a couple of months now, but loving it so far. Still scratching the surface of tonal possibilities!! :hbang:
