I think the snare is either too loud or too bright for the rest of the mix, it kinda covers the rest of the song in the blast beats. But it could be my earphones.

you're probably right about the snare. there's a lot of hi hat bleed on it making it a little ridiculous on the blast beats. I said fuck it and let it go. Its not supposed to be pretty sounding. The effect is worse on some speakers than others.
