This is the one with Kevin Hiedrich on guitar right? I can't think of anyone else more well-versed in that sound and style. The guy has been playing Necrophagist covers at like 120% speed for almost as long as I've known about Necrophagist.

I generally dislike technical filler like "casino" sweeps. Oddly enough, I find the second part of the solo most interesting. Especially when those SNES SFX style "taking damage" pull ups and "boss level" sweeps come in

Kevin's a beast, and most of Hannes's material is pretty good. I'm looking forward to the album. It's not going to be in any AOTY lists, but it'll undoubtedly be a fun a listen every once in a while.

Kevin dropped a playthrough video. I'm just going to think of this as Necrophagist album 3 where Hannes kept then band going. Maybe I've just listened to so many of Kevin's videos but first time I heard this I thought the playing(attack and muting) sounded like him. No surprise he was the man for this job.

Some of them resembled something playable, others were just numbers on strings, that had to be rearranged completely."
