NGD/NPD - Ibanez RG7421 MIJ w/ Dimarzio Crunch Lab/Liquifire

Hi guys, I just got an Ibanez RG7421. It's an old guitar, made in Japan, 1999.
After getting it, I changed the pickups from the V7-7/V8-7 to the Dimarzio Crunch Lab/Liquifire set and the bridge to the Hipshot fixed bridge. Also put a pair of black pearl knobs on!
Looks and sounds awesome! I'm super happy with this babe!
I also really want to put on a new neck with maple fingerboard on this guitar. I might hunt for a 1527M neck (but I know, it's super rare. Might be a long hunt for it)

The bridge is ordered from hipshot with some guys in this forum few years ago!
Is your 7321 having a Gibraltar bridge? If it is, you can buy a Gibraltar bridge replacement from Hipshot.

Sounds like I missed out! Mine had the older bridge, not the Gibralter. Oh well!

Hate to be the dream killer, but those necks will have different dimensions at the heel. IIRC the 1527M neck will be a bit wider at the heel, than the older 762x/742x necks.

So, you could fit an older neck on a newer body and have some gaps, but you cannot fit a newer neck on an older body without shaving some off the neck or widening the neck pocket.
