NGD - Schecter Blackjack A-7

Okay so after selling my old 7 and 8 string I was saving up for a PRS SvN. Then I saw a vid of someone playing one of these and I decided to see if any were on Ebay, after spotting this - GAS hit. The deal was just too sweet to pass up.

I managed to snag it for around half the price of the SvN and got it delivered today. I'm super happy with it so far. The Sentient/Nazgul combo are awesome and the guitar is super comfy and easy to play.

I did manage to play a SvN at the Birmingham guitar show and whilst it was nice, I'd rather wait for a Holcomb version to come out with his pickups already installed or if they did it in Royal Blue like the old SE 7's. Anyway, just bought myself the Conquering Dystopia tab book so I'm off to attempt to learn the album rhythm parts, maybe one day the leads too..

A good friend of mine has the 8 string version of this guitar.

I really miss THIS series of Blackjacks. All black with a little dose of blood red, and all the essentials to make the guitar a quintessential metal machine, that can do even more than just that.

To me, when Schecter was making these, that's when they were REALLY winning the game. They should bring them back.

I feel that way about this series and the Banshee series. Absolutely fantastic instruments. I’d have probably kept my Banshee if it was a 7 string. They must have just not sold as well.
