So a large package arrived on my doorstep (that's what she said) the other day, and I wondered what it could be.

Perhaps a box filled with garbage bags?

White tolex? COULD IT BE?!

I was very impressed with the customer service I received from Avatar. I sent an email with a few questions and got a reply in less than 12 hours, and a very helpful one at that. I was told that after placing my order (Monday/Tuesday) it would be done and "Shipped out by Friday", and instead it was already on my doorstep in Vancouver by Friday. Impressive.

I can't say too much about the tone yet as I gotta break in these speakers!! But the construction is absolutely extraordinary, it looks great, the weight isn't too bad at all, and above all... it looks sexy as hell.

I've got the AxeFX with MIDI floorboard as my main digital rig, a GT-8 for a backup digital rig, this Blackstar/Avatar thing as my analog rig (I have a shit ton of pedals I just couldn't part with, so needed to get a cab haha) and a little Vox AC4TV as a practice amp that I keep downstairs.

Shipping and duty was $150. Which is to be expected, not so bad.

Actually, since the speakers aren't broken in, it sounds like my HT-60 did when I got it. Muffled and with no clarity. In two weeks it will sound like pure metal though, haha! Cheers dude!
